I have a Combustion v4 and the guy I bought it from told me he upgraded the pickups to the "Canadian ones" instead of the ones that came in it. Seems like he said $350 upgrade.
I am wondering what I really have in there? How can I tell? Is there a number or anything on the back that would differentiate upgraded pickups from the stock ones?

I was under the impression that all the pickups were Canadian ones and that there are just different models and pickup shapes.

You know, I was think earlier that I had read the same thing but I couldn't remember where or confirm I did not mention that. But you may be right on with this.

I took them both out and mine say:
FD-3 4L (SS) B (bridge)
FD-3 4L (SS) N (neck)
There are two check boxes B and N.
Are these the P-Tone Pickups?

They're not the P-tones, but they are upgraded from the stock FD-3N. The FD-3 4Ls are used in the Afterburner series.
