I guess this could be considered an "unholy" trinity, but they are three darn fine basses, one of which I still own (front and center) [img:tpxrt4y5]http://i511.photobucket.com/albums/s354/rollerberg2000/Dingwall/DSCN1094.jpg[/img:tpxrt4y5]
Some very handsome trios there, thanks for sharing. Gerrick: to get your wish, try taking your bass outside on a bright day. These cameras work best with lots and lots and lots of light. You might be surprised at the results you can get out of a cellphone - no need to buy a new camera, you can keep the money for the SPJ5 :)[/quote:1k3msq9b] Yes they look nice in the daylight! Thanks, I quite like it too. when the guys in the band first saw it they asked "what's up with your fretboard?" when I told them its Ziracote w/ sapwood, they looked at me as if I was speaking in tongues. :) I wish I could get a good picture of the body, the pics look like its solid blue quilt, but the center is whitish when hit by the lights, it just never comes out on the camera. BTW, thanks for buying that SJ, I was looking at my bank balance and wondering how badly the wife was going to skin me if I picked it up.
NaH - Looks like you did more than post pics for dsincjr :D [/quote:2pvh6mc6] Guilty. Though I did give someone else a whopping one day lead before snapping it up. :)

NaH - Looks like you did more than post pics for dsincjr :D It's a beauty, as are the other two (and everyone else's - there are no ugly Dingwalls)

so far its just a trinity, not a HOLY trinity, as one of these things is not like the other, but... [img:4cu8tonm]http://i1074.photobucket.com/albums/w407/Gerritk04/IMG_20120321_215105.jpg[/img:4cu8tonm] That's TwoPort's Z3 on the left, got it less than 3mo after entering Dingwallia with the AB1 on the right. Both are apparently NAMM basses, 2008 and 2002 respectively, and in theory the Z3 is the 1st of its ilk. Eventually I hope to replace the Carvin with a SPJ5. also need to get a better camera, sorry for the crappy cellphone shot.
DeepDee, I love that Z of yours - one of my favorites.[/quote:1m2c210x] Yes; saw it late in the evening on BassNW website, couldn't sleep the night and bought it next day. :) We seem to have a very similar taste: Your ABII looks like mine; and if I ever would like to have a Super J I would choose yours.

Can't pass it up - here's mine: Practice space is a little cramped at home, so I'll do the 'ol stitched shot. DingwallTrinityNaH.jpg[/attachment:1oelq6n9] and the guitars alone: 3Dingwall.JPG[/attachment:1oelq6n9] 4-String Natural Super-J w/Baltic Amber pickguard 5-String Bubinga Fretless Afterburner II 5-String Arbutus Burl topped walnut Afterburner II (chambered) The light "stripes" on the Fretless aren't that standout in real life. Flash must be helping. Love 'em.
