I've got a PM in to Sheldon but he's not checking his messages because of the shop move. Does anyone know if the neck pockets have changed over the years on the ABI-5's? They look the same but I need definite confirmation.

Though, that neck is from an AB-II.

The neck pockets have evolved over the years. There will be width variances which are normal. More significantly there will be angle changes. Early Afterburners had a slight angle machined into the neck pocket (like a built-in shim). Current Afterburners have the angle machined into the heel of the neck. You can check this for yourself by removing the neck and measuring the heel pocket depth at the back and front of the pocket. If the body has the angle, the front of the pocket will be deeper.
