I was diagnosed with leukemia last year. So... I figured, I'd get me a board and start skating (after a long layoff)again. I used to skate in exhibitions in my younger days, but those were my younger days. I don't go as fast or fly so high anymore. Can't wait to get going on it, get a few chops back and go be the old guy at the skate park. This could be fun. I mean really, what could happen? It's not like it's gonna give me leukemia.

You're an inspiration to us all, Paul. Of course, we'll need pics to prove you aren't all talk... ;)

Hi Paul - Long boarding is great fun. I do it myself at age 62 with my 22 y/o old - mostly downhill in the San Diego area. We have a great time. I don't typically do the skate park unless it's huge and laidout to carve instead of tricks. I ride a Sector 9 Carbon TR3 - it's 38" long with great flex to pump it! The weekends are complicated - choosing to go surfing, long boarding or sport bike riding - all carving up something - waves, asphault or canyons. And I can't miss mentioning playing my ABZ! Have fun! Denys (aka loungesurfer)

I ask him to make me a bass (or in this case a skateboard), and it shows up. You guys have seen some of my basses. I just leave him alone, let him do what he wants, and that's what happens.

Surfing (kneeboarder) from Trestles to The Sloughs (had a friend with a skiff for those trips to The Ranch), bombing and carving the hills in La Costa. Del Mar & Vista skateparks, and whatever they called the one that was under the 805. though surfing dissapeared nfrom my life some time ago, I've been snowboarding a lot over the years. Played pretty much every palce you could play in SD County. Yep... It's been a long hard crawl to the bottom My Dad still lives in Oceanside. Perhaps we could skate sometime when I come down. Stay in touch!

Perhaps Sheldon will post pics (so as not to ruin the surprise) [i:1509z8mb]after[/i:1509z8mb] I receive it. He's got a nice photo rig. Maybe he'll put one of those fancy magnetic battery covers on it to hide the rocket motor ignition circuit. Hey Sheldon... is there a hydraulic curb feeler retractor option available?
