If this happens in the normal range of playing you'll need to make adjustments. If you don't normally play that hard, don't worry about it. As the frets were just leveled, its unlikely that it's a fret. Look for damage to the bottom of the string though. Strings get worn or damaged and can cause buzzes to appear. Also try moving your right hand up and down the string slightly to see if it's just a harmonic that happens to be right on top of a fret. If the string is OK, and it's not a harmonic, then you'll need to adjust the truss-rod (lower fret buzzes are the domain of the truss-rod). Start with loosening the rod 1/8 turn and test for buzz. After each adjustment, tap the neck lightly along it's length to settle the rod in. My combustion neck started to pull back and buzz this spring so I had to loosen the truss rod as per the setup page. Almost a full turn but it fixed it.

I took it by the shop when this happened, and Sheldon fixed it the same way (I didn't know what I was doing. ). A total of 1/8 of a turn. I felt bad for wasting his time for such a menial adjustment.

It would not do for me to live anywhere in The Flatlands, much less in the same town as DDG. That would cause a chronic case of Dingwall GAS that would likely be my financial undoing ! Mark

Amen to that. I haven't seen a Dingwall I haven't owned. No surprise, I've only ever seen my AB. If I were living anywhere close to the DW shop, well, I'd quickly become broke trying to keep the score

It's no problem for me. To be perfectly honest, I don't like going to the shop. Although I get great service, I find it very intimidating being there. There are big-shots like Lee Sklar that buy these basses, and Sheldon and crew really are masters of their art. Then there's little ol' me that can't adjust his own truss rod. Sheldon is always compassionate though. He hasn't thrown me out yet, the couple times I've been there.
