I'm thinking this topic has been addressed, but I haven't found it yet. Can the rounded shell pickups fit in an older AB2 with square pickups (either as a replacement which leaves a little wood showing or into these shells)?

We no longer have the capability to make that style of shell. At some point in the future it may be possible to have them 3D printed but for now they are not available. Round end shells are a possiblity if you can find someone who can handle the routing and finish touch ups.

Wow - didn't expect a reply until after NAMM! Thanks!

So by your answer, this implies that the rounded edge pickups are bigger? Given that is it possible to take the guts out of an FDV and put into these shells (after removing the FD3 guts)? Or is it not so simple and it has to be packed differently?

Routing scares me.

Someone mentioned to me that they are epoxied, so can't just swap shells. Time to save for a bigger upgrade.
