I have a Combustion with FD-3A pickups that I want to mate with a John East U-Retro preamp. The Pickups have three wires, +/-/grd, and the pre has the usual 2, +/-. I just want to confirm that I should wire like this: 1) Red to pre in pos 2) White to the pre in neg 3) Tie the black PU ground to all other grounds (bridge, output jack, etc.) and NOT run both the neg and grd to the neg connector of the pre I had a set of Nordstrands that had a third ground wire that I wires like this ad it was find. Thanks.

Without seeing the East drawing, I agree, this should work fine.
