Hi, Sheldon!
2 years ago I bought Dingwall Combustion 5. Bass guitar began to make extraneous noises 1 year ago. Noise occurs unexpectedly in active mode and then appears in passive mode. I thought the problem was the batteries, but I tried different batteries and it's not about them. I gave the bass to two engineers to do the diagnostics. They couldn't identify the source of the noise.

I recorded the noise and uploaded the files to file sharing. Listen to them, please. https://yadi.sk/d/Ez2aJXTZ3a4JZi

How to solve this problem?

Hi Sergey, can you identify which combinations of the rotary pickup knob / active-passive switch are noisy/noiseless?

It seemed like you have the most problems when you engage active mode.

Take apart your output jack and have a look at the spot where the 1/4" plug makes contact. Mine has similar noises and there was corrosion on the mating surface that when gently sanded away with an emery board, the noise went away. Let me know if that fixes it.
