That's the Z2 on our site and the Dudepit. On ours and Dude's the photo has too much red and almost looks like a cherry burst, in the ebay photos it's too brown and looks tobacco. The real color is Honey Amberburst IIRC.

There's a Z25 up on ebay now. Looks like quilt top/wenge/2 band/tobacco burst. I suspect the reserve is 2Gs. Maybe one of you (many) Texans knows who's movin' it and if it's as advertised.

Morris- a little late to the party are we....look 2 posts above you. Same bass--- From the current bidding war (esp from someone over at Steve Barrs Dudepit), this bass will hit the reserve in record time. I think thereserve is higher than 2G, The question is..... how high will it go. Unfortunately it appears a few of the bidders have ZERO feedback, makes me mighty nervous What I don't like is the photos, there crap, shakey and outta focus. The larger picts are horrendous, esp when the bass appears all brownish. From Sheldons photos its reddish, so I guess its brownish red?

[quote="FrankM":6mw68out]Purple Afterburner prototype on Ebay http://cgi.ebay.com/Dingwall-4-string-A ... dZViewItem[/quote:6mw68out] I ended up with that one! I already have a Prima 5, but to be honest, I am almost scared to take it out of the house! So, this one should see more gig use. I had them take it over to Sheldon's and I am going to add some FD3's and a Hipshot D-tuner. 8) Tom.

Hey Kris- Yup we've been watching this one.... (see 5&6 posts above yours) Good new is... the reserve has been met (2150.00 USD), bad news is there are 1/2 dozen watching this auction, and from the intial fury appear willing to plop down some $$$. Honestly thou If I were the seller I would email the Zero feedback guys and confirm how they will pay for this bass, and/or eliminate them. Saddly there are too many problems on Ebay

The bidding is closing in on $3K. That's geting close to new Z territory. This makes me even happier about the deal I got on my Z. This will be fun to watch :) Anybody want action on the over/under? Sold----for 2750.oo USD was it any of you guys? The owner got 2/3 of his original investment. Seems like Dingwalls hold their value pretty good. Honestly are new Z basses at the 3K mark?

New Zs begin at around 3600. street and can easily climb to 5k, depending on the degree of jewelry added...........worth every nickel IMO.

The bluish Z1 apparently did not move, as I rec'd an offocial eBay 2nd chance offer at my original bid of only 500 bucks......but I'm gun-shy for this item sight unseen, especially for that too good to be true price......

The seller is a well known "internet personality." I can assure you he is not selling it for $500.

I haven't checked into this in depth, but it seems like there's a real problem with fraudulent 2nd chance offers. There's a warning on ebay.
