Do Dingwall basses fit in standard bass gig bags? I'm referring to a Combustion, but I would imagine that most Dingwalls have roughly the same dimensions. I searched the forum, and while I did come across a number of threads about [i:jc54i6lp]specific[/i:jc54i6lp] gig bags, I didn't find an answer about bass gig bags [i:jc54i6lp]in general[/i:jc54i6lp]. I have gig bags galore for my other basses (all of which are 34" scale), so I'm wondering if I'll need to buy one specially for the Combustion. Thanks in advance!

I have a Levy's leather gig bag into which my Dingwalls will [b:gs9ltn8q]not [/b:gs9ltn8q]fit. However, neither will my standard-sized J-basses (a standard P-bass will fit). I do have several other gig bags that [b:gs9ltn8q]will [/b:gs9ltn8q]accommodate a Dingwall bass. Bottom line is you will need to check. If the gig bag will accommodate a Jazz bass, it probably will accommodate a Dingwall.

I can tell you most bags will be fine, but not all. I have Pro-Tec Contego and Body Glove bags, both of which are fine. Why not call the retailer and get the exact length and width of the bass?

When I was first discovering Dingwall basses, I read in Bass Player Magazine that the compact headstock actually makes it shorter than many 35" scale basses. I've never had an issue of fitting in any bag

Thanks, guys! My gig bags fit my Jazzes with ease, so I'll keep my fingers crossed. I'll test them out once the Combustion arrives.
