Dingwall Sales, I've been trying for a week now to get strings, but they either don't get back to me or they don't have any in stock. I'm looking for some 5-string sets of Dingwall strings. Where can I buy these from? Can I buy them direct? If so, could have them over-nighted to me? Thanks for any information you can provide. Rich

I might be wrong about this, but I think Dingwall sells them in sets of five as well. If you are in a bind PM me and I will sell you one of my spare sets. Off the top of my head you should be able to buy them from Jive Sound or Guitar X and have them overnighted.

Or if you're in Canada, let me know and I can pick some up locally and get them into the mail for you.

Jive Sound hasn't gotten back to me yet. At this point I would gladly take a set of 5 if it is going to be this hard to find them in the future. Thanks for the offer of selling me one of your spare sets. I don't think it will be necessary. I wanted to have some new strings for an upcoming show I have this weekend, but I think I'll be all right. The strings that are on there are extremely dead, but I guess playable. I also have a back up bass (non-Dingwall) that I can use if a string breaks.

To get one more month out of a set I take mine off, boil them in water with a drop of dawn, rinse, boil in clean water, rinse, dry and you get a plausibly "new" sound for another gig or two. IME, YMMV. Bass Central may have a set as well, I forgot about them. +1 on Dingwall owners, I've yet to meet or chat with a bad one! Bass players as a breed tend to be nicer people, go figure.

Hey everyone What are the gauges for the medium sets for the Super J and P (both 5 and 4)? I saw a "official" burp on the website but when you look at the picture it doesn't seem to match. (the problem is I can't quite make out all the numbers in the pic) Thanks E

Hi Dingwall Sales - I've had my Combustion for four months now; time for a new set of strings. I would like to get the same ones that came on it originally, but I don't know which ones they were. Payson nickel strings rings a bell, but I don't see those on the online store. Please tell me what I need to order and I will hit the web store and get an order entered. Thanks much!

P.S. to last message: The only string that really needs to be replaced is the low B, it has gotten pretty dull and "thuddy". I see there are single B strings on the web store, but again, I'm not sure which would be the correct replacement and same string as what came originally on the Combustion. Thanks again!

Your bass was shipped with our long scale stainless steel strings available along with our long scale nickel strings on our webstore https://www.dingwallguitars.com/purchas ... y/strings/ Please note while Payson offers strings for our basses we are not affiliateded businesses , as a result you will not find Payson strings on any Dingwalls leaving our shop.

OK, I'd like to get a set of the long scale nickel strings for my Combustion, but the online store is out of stock. The two obvious questions: 1) Can I get them anywhere else? 2) If not, do you know when they'll be back in stock again? Thank you much!
