Hey Sheldon. It's been a while since I've inquired about the Dingwall P pu. Did you run a prototype yet? If not can I make a request to have it reversed for the A,D,G and E -B poles towards the bridge?

We've done several prototypes and are getting close. Do I understand you correctly that you want the B&E coil closer to the neck?

Waiting for inspiration to strike. One thing I hear a lot is that the existing neck pickup sounds very P-like. What would you as potential customers like us to add or take away to make it more P-like?

Are you talking about in series or parallel? I've only tried a parallel FD3 in the neck on a fretted. Sounds great with both pu's on (MII bridge) , but I wasn't feeling the solo'd tone in the neck. Perhaps I would like the series pu better. I've even thought of having you making a signature P ABZ4 with one SJ P pu with a Stellar Tone Circuit. The front neck heel sort of limits pu placement. How about a Canadian 4 string P 34-36.25" with a Combustion neck pocket and SJ headstock 3/1? $1385 +/-

I'm confused. The P pickup is listed: [url:10lkrv6l]http://www.dingwallguitars.com/fd-4-pickups-on-super-j/[/url:10lkrv6l] Or is it that this one is not made in the shop? Or are we talking about a "P" pickup that is a direct replacement for a "J" pickup so they can be "swapped out"?

The 3+1 headstock is a trademark of Ernie Ball, we'd get sued. But we could use a P in the lineup.
