Because my last topic sort of got derailed into a vehicle comparison, I thought it would be appropriate to start this one. What do you haul your gear in? I just bought this yesterday, I took it for a spin from the carlot and carefully "test drove" an equipment haul in, haul out. Perfectly fits my PJB head, two cabs, Dingwall, stand and gear bag with the seats folded down. It wasn't my first choice of colors, but the mileage, manual transmission and price was the only thing that fit the bill within 500 miles of where I live.
I was looking for a Dodge Magnum, but all the ones in my price range were base models, I wanted the SRT8 of course, but they were more car than I had in savings. I guess the bright side is with the savings I kept by buying the HHR, I'm a little closer to that next Dingwall!
Post 'em if you got 'em, lets see what you drive to the gig!

Easy Labor Day load-in. Driving on golf courses is extremely fun!! I just wish I could open it up a bit!!

My car has almost 180k kms, and still going strong, but it's definatly nice to drive a new car. Nice ride.

The only thing wrong with the Magnum was the 180,000 trouble-free miles it had racked up. There was nothing wrong with it, but since I work out of my car my dear wife wanted me to get a new one because of the high miles. First she wanted me to get a Z3. Now this. What a woman. 
I have always loved Mopars. I drove a black '72 Duster in high school. This new Challenger is a very cool car, a real head-turner. Nobody is getting thumbs up over their new Camaro or Mustang 
. It's only a V6, though, the same drivetrain as the Magnum, really same car with 4 inches cut out of the wheelbase and new sheetmetal. Face it, a powerful V8 like the SRT, even the Hemi, is kind of dumb. So what that you can beat everybody to the next redlight. I'm older, and, I'd like to think, a little wiser. I try to drive like an old lady. That's the coolest thing you can do in a cool car. Everybody looks when you drive 5mph under the limit. I really all boils down to how the sheet metal is bent, not how fast it goes. I'm hoping for a 180K out of this one, too.

Julia, I believe you have the distinction of being the first lady on the forum (that I'm aware of anyway, if I'm missing something someone please fill me in). The wagon'll get you there! I usually travel with my hubby and his full drum kit, my rig and AB2. This thing's like a truck, good old '02 ford focus.

I always like the looks of the newer Pontiac, but unfortunatly, they just didn't sell.
I'm with Davio, not a big fan of a truck made out of a car.

Here's mine 2005 Pontiac GTO 400+ hp at 5300 ft above sea level. Not real good for hauling gear.

That's an impressive payload for a Honda Fit. All your gear plus the guitarist's gear and the PA (what, no mains?) in such a small vehicle!
I can sympathize with that situation. A while back one of the guitarists in my band lost his drivers license for one year (DUI). So for an entire year I transported him to/from every gig (about 50 of them), along with his guitars, Mesa head and 2x10 cab, PA mixer, monitors, mains, stands, and assorted boxes of cables and extraneous crap.
Not my current Passat wagon, but my previous 2000 Passat wagon, was packed pretty much to capacity, depending on which rig I took.
I drive this around most of the time (my work van):
