Hi, do you sell replacement stock pickguards for the regular Combustion models (non-NG)?

Yes we do. There are two styles of truss rod slot small and large. The large slots started at roughly serial number 640. Once you confirm that, send an email to sales@ and we'll get you some pricing.

Will do and thank you. My plan, FWIW, is two fold. 1) to convert the pickup placement on my incoming NG-2 to regular Combustion placement. Just as an option. And 2) to allow a significant cosmetic change to the yellow NG-2 look. To tame a bit perhaps with a white pearloid or similar. I'll weigh options once we sort what's available.

The serial number on this bass is 00837 and am assuming the large truss rod slot as it measures +/- 9/16" (14mm) wide. Who should I now contact for std combustion PG color options, pricing and eventual ordering? Thank you for a great product. Having had it a couple weeks and playing a lot of headphone practice, with-amp rehearsal and two live jobs it's just a joy. Best setup I have had on any incoming bass of any country of origin. just the slightest tweak of the truss rod for a bit of relief and followup slight saddle lowering to compensate and it's just perfect for my liking.

I'll get them up on the web store as soon as I get out from under the pile of NAMM emails. The 14 mm wide slot is the latest version.

That's wonderful and thank you. I have shared this info with the Dingwall faithful on Talkbass as well. I hope they do very well. And, not to look the gift horse you know where, but will this blue pearl (if that's the correct name for the color)ever be added? May be the perfect match for my incoming chrome Blue V2 Combustion. The only blue pearloid I've seen has red undertones that would clash with the Chrome Blue's green undertone. Pretty much all the other colors will look good though.

But since that pic came off of the gallery on this site I assumed you made that one as well, or that it was a stock option. Thank you though.

I wonder if that is actually a black perloid?

[quote="NaH":sfennhx6]I wonder if that is actually a black perloid?[/quote:sfennhx6] You know, it just might be. Could just be the way the pic is colored and I cannot find another example of a Combustion online that has a blue pearl PG which would now make me think it doesn't exist and I'm mistaken. This black pearl example also leans bluish so it's certainly possible. Killer on the burst, natural and white though. Baltic Amber on natural - I like that, had a Super J like that once. Me personally, if I had a chrome blue Combustion, if it was possible, I would do no pick guard at all, but that is just me. Don't know if that is even possible. I love the new matte orange NG2.
