While setting up my Combustion 5 (#00021), I noticed that the B & A bridge assemblies include full -length, chromed shims while are rounded to meet the "footprint". The E string has a similar shim but extends only ~75%, is not rounded, and does not appear to be chromed. Is this normal or am I possibly looking at some time of mod or replacement? Riis

I recently replaced the bridges on my V4 Combustion with Black Chrome ones from an NG-2. There were no shims under the B or G bridges. Full length shims under the other three.

The shorter shims were version 1. The full length shims are version 2. I don't recall when we transitioned but I do remember that supply was limited on the version 2 shims for a while so they were used on the when needed on the B-saddle while version 1 shims were used on middle saddles only.

Are they shims available separately? My OCD is kickin' in and would like to replace the "stubby" under the E string bridge assembly. Riis
