Hi Sheldon,
tomorrow I'm flying to Germany for a college audition and I have a couple of question about my ABZ.

1. It's winter here in Peru and summer/almost summer over there and I wanted to know how long should I wait after arriving to make my truss rod adjustments.

2. I've noticed some string buzz when I play normally (not digging in) on the D string up until the 5th fret. I did mess a little bit with the action after changing this set of strings. What should I do?

Thanks,
Iván

Buzz in the first 5 frets means your neck is too straight. 1/8 turn counter-clockwise should take care of that. When you get to Germany, adjust as needed. You may not even have to.
