That looks great. [i:2ed85eiq]Almost[/i:2ed85eiq] as nice as my quilt bubinga AB II ?! I like the variety and uniqueness. Thanks for experiment! It's a complete success!

I agree with everyone else, looks very cool. Although quilt can be really nice, I much prefer something that has uniqueness to it, and a nicely figured/grained wood like this one really makes the guitar. I'd still like to see an AB with a spalted maple top.
I love the flame maple top on my AB1, but to have just one or two other top options would be nice . I'm picturing my AB1 fretless with a quilt top. Hint, hint

SHELDON!!!! You just hit my weak spot...COCOBOLO!!! 2 of the 4 Alembics I have owned were Cocobolo, and it is my favorite wood...have you ever seen the Quilted Cocobolo on Alembic's site? They only had enough for a few instruments, and 1 went to Stanley Clarke...here's a link..

Can I have that on my Artist????Hmmmm...please???
Hey Sheldon, just wanted to upate you a bit on the bass. The thing has phenominal tone way better than what i have played previously. I even got the attention of my guitar players as they have not just noticed the awsome finish but also the amazing sound that the thing plays.
Definelty another skeptical and VERY satisfied customer. Thanks again for all your time and effort for making this monster of a bass for me.
PS. They chicks definetly loved this bass...!
Sheldon,
I have my Mint Quantum 5 up for sale on both Ebay and Talkbass, and as soon as it sells, BassNW will be getting a deposit from me on one of those bad boys!

YES!
Those are very beautiful semihollow ABs! I tend to like the way the AB-1 looks over the AB-2, but that one really looks great.
Tell us, how does the semi-hollow sound versus the solid bodies?
