Hello Sheldon, If it possible to use 2 Hipshot extenders on both B and E strings on a Combustion bass? IMHO extenders on E strings is more useful and practical than one on B string. Did someone ask you to make 5 strings bass with Hipshot extender only on E string? and I've heard about some basses you made with 2 of them, is it a custom thing? Thank you.

FYI: Lee Sklar uses two of 'em. I don't know if it's possible to do on a Combustion, but on the Z series, having two is an option available on a custom order. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=My8U_-Jvcig

If that's possible, I'll add two to my shopping list. I drop the C2 to either D or A every few days for a few songs, and I was reluctant to get one just because it wouldn't be it without both.

Hipshot no longer makes the tuner necessary to achieve this. For our headstocks we had to reverse the order - three on the bass side, two on the treble side to make room for the B and E-string D-tuners. Long story short it's not possible.

Oops. I would've sworn I was offered the option. I stand corrected.

oh man, I was all excited and about to whip out my wallet for a special order E-string tuner too. any chance of petitioning Hipshot to add it back to their lineup? I know I'd buy one!

You'd still need a new headstock with 3 tuners on the bass side and 2 on the treble.

Oh come on, Sheldon! You've scattered the frets around and made it work, you might as well bend space/time for us.

Would you settle for bending a note?
